16 games again in the 20/20 - talk about overkill. Use to get 20,000 at The Oval for a 20/20 on a weeknight a few years back, be lucky to get half that number now.

Yup, we did pretty well out of Dernbach's call-up. Given time, our new-found policy of bringing some local talent through the ranks might just get us somewhere. At least they're trying to do that now, which wasn't the case for most of the 2000's.

And journeyman, Tim Linley is doing alright as well. Put on a extra yard of pace while keeping it tight and has averaged under 30 with the ball for the past 2 seasons.

Interested to see how Surrey fair in the 20/20s. Their batting is ridiculously powerful - Roy and RHB put on 60 yesterday in less than 6 overs but their bowling is weak. Likes of Meaker, Dernbach and Jordan could go for anything and the latter two have appalling 20/20 stats. Big burden on Dirk to perform.
