Good to see the tykes making a token effort to keep Lanky's title hopes alive - I'm hoping for Shehzad and Rashid to bowl Warks out cheaply

.......... no such token effort from the clucking martlets though - I still blame Monty for batting out time against us earlier in the season

Finally a bit of fight from the lads, 278 ahead with 5 wickets in hand.
Ballance really has been one of the few players to come out of this year with any credit, looks a exciting prospect.

Along with Bairstow, certainly - the senior batsmen should be ashamed by what a couple of 21-year olds have achieved. Hoping he makes it his first championship hundred tomorrow morning.

Still doesn't look like we've the time to win this game, thanks to Chanderpaul.

Good day at Gloucs today- afteroon, Glamorgan just imploded- lost 4 wickets for next to nothing and despite a small lead were always behind the 8 ball. Current results and games played mean Middlesex all but up I think, perhaps between Surrey, Northants and then a bit further back, ourselves for the last place if results go to plan tomorrow.

Not so sure, my dad was there yesterday and he says there is something in pitch at both ends. Said Rashid was lucky to survive early on and pressure may get to Warwicks today with title race. Obviously we need Chanderpaul early but get him and we can still win this.

8 over thrash today and set the 320-340 in 85ish overs.

Durham wins.

Yorkshire not done much damage with the new ball and Warwickshire been conservative so far. 18 overs lost from the day (16 + 2 for the change of innings) so they'll need to go pretty hard later on to win.

Warwickshire 99/3 with 45 overs remaining. Still looks unlikely but if we can get Chanderpaul out before tea, it's still on.

Bad light possibly cost Warwickshire a shot at a win there needing 6 or so an over with a lot of hitters to come in the order and there was a chance.

Not exactly a minefield at Taunton and Durham are making a hash of their innings. Really good bowling, though.

290 list A games and only 1 100 for Dale Benkenstein and no 100 today. Been a great cricketer for Durham though. Top performer in FC and one day cricket.

Suppiah playing a beauty here, striking at well over 100 with 7 4s but proper cricket shots all. Good to watch.
