My take on Harmison initially this season was one of that he was bowling wide of the stumps - but with that I'd expect more wides all season - and that his dismissals wouldn't be bowled and LBW - which all three were against Worcester, and have been most of the season.Rik said:LE...What's your view on the lack of wides in the match involving Durham. Someone in the Somerset Chat forum thinks that it's all perfectly fair and Harmison and that other well known "Airesol" bowler Danny Law managed to bowl dead straight during an innings that spanned 107 overs...he also thinks that it can't possibly be that Harmison's econ has been so impressive this year whilst his strike rate is so poor because he is bowling wide of the stumps and the batsmen are not playing at the ball because of it's width. Also he thinks Harmison's performance this season has answered the critics. Your view? Because whenever I try and agree to disagree he comes up with something else, like saying Heath Streak's record is rubbish.
I have no idea whatsoever (but the article was funny, I thought - and that's all that matters).Rik said:LE...What's your view on the lack of wides in the match involving Durham? Or rather DD's?
Exactly why, else he'd be starting for me.Rik said:Is White injured and can't bowl? Because no one is talking about him for an England place and he was probably our best bowler in Australia.
No I upset them, talking about a player who plays for their OD bogy side, Durham. Amazing how touchy some types are about players who don't even play for their team.luckyeddie said:I have no idea whatsoever (but the article was funny, I thought - and that's all that matters).
I haven't upset the assorted wurzels and zoider drinkers in Somerset Chat, have I?
Tell you one thing - Harmison's a certainty for the second test if the tickets don't sell out.
Well if Hannan Sarker and Al Sahariar are ever going to score runs, here is there chance..Rik said:Harmison's a certianty for Bangladesh in the winter, thanks to the predictibility of the England selection panel who I feel are totally nuts.
More to the point, why are you the ONLY person to keep bringing this up?Rik said:LE...What's your view on the lack of wides in the match involving Durham? Or rather DD's?
Bell ahead of Key? I'd have to disagree!Neil Pickup said:2 teams, one his expected, the other his selected.

White is injured full stop.Rik said:Is White injured and can't bowl? Because no one is talking about him for an England place and he was probably our best bowler in Australia.
