English Cricket season

I didn't realise Cairns was playing for Notts straight away, I see overnight he scored 50 off 70 odd balls to help Notts out of trouble against Lancs. I think this is a good chance for him to develop his batting if he is going to struggle to bowl again at the higher levels.

Shane Bond will really be in top form by the time he gets to Warwicks. 2 tests against Sri Lanka & then an ODI series with S.L & Pakistan so he should have no excuses by the time he gets to England.

Well Cricinfo sure failed us there.

I saw Essex needed 2 to win with 2 wickets left, then 1 to win with one, then it said Match over with Essex 9 wickets down.

Wrong! Giles picked up the last 2 to get a fivefer and tie the game.

Agreed there. I was paying close attention to the game because I was unsure whether to make it the key feature this week (the Kent v Leicestershire game was also looking tight at one stage).

It took me about half an hour to find out what the dickens happened. Apparently Giles was REALLY impressive according to all reports.

PS. I did make it the feature game in the end.

Just noticed a bloke called Gough has scored 72 for Yorkshire.

He also opened the bowling.

Don't remember seeing him around last season, is he some new bloke, the new Botham perhaps?

Dunno. But I don't think he'll ever amount to anything ;)...he just doesn't seem good enough...:)

Now Harmison...there's a talent!

I wouldn't go laughing at England's rookie bowlers when your's are getting flayed all over the place against Australia.

Sehwag is playing today. But why isn't he getting to bowl? :!( . Read is playing very well now. He should be picked atleast in the one day side and maybe in the tests too. Ramps played well too :D but he isn't getting centuries:(

:( First baller for Tresco to Cork...who got a second baller, also opening the innings. Ironic? :)

Bicknell (D) got a second ball duck too.

Now Yuvraj is going to play for Yorkshire. I think it is a very good signing. Hope they give him more bowling too.

Over 7 an over has to be classed as smashed about a bit really doesn't it? I wouldn't be very happy with being hit for 23 off 3 overs.:(
