Hopefully it's some private school kid with a rich dad, a posh accent and a mediocre record.
Such things do not exist in NZ outside of Auckland and Christchurch. It is a meritocracy.

Nathan went to Waitaki Boys, a good NZ style state school that's more like a British private school because NZ actually respects giving everyone a fair shot and doesn't just write off most of the country as peasants and oiks.

Hopefully it's someone from Auckland or Christchurch then.

Interestingly, to bring @thierry henry into the mix, Google says Duffy is 6 foot flat. That surprises me
Ha, that's definitely not accurate. Although I did find it interesting (but bit my tongue) when some posters recently made a comment along the lines of wanting to bring Duffy into the side in place of Southee to have more height/bounce in the team. That seemed to me to be dealing in very fine margins since the height difference between the two might be an inch?

I'd hazard a guess that in the 95 years NZ has been test nation, there has never been a test match start in November. And to compound it that test is at Hagley where a NZ specialist spinner last took a wicket 11 seasons ago. But then the next 2 tests are at the most spin friendly venues in NZ.
I'm not sure how serious this was comment was, but we started tests in November in 2016 and 2019.

England 2019, both tests started in November.

(The first match was the one where Root broke Archer bowling him for 42 overs)

God that England team was crap. I'd say it was less than the sum of its parts but one part was Joe Denly so I'm not sure that is true.

Bazball may be narcissistic and dumb sometimes but at least they are actually trying to win games and taking chances.
