That's true, though Javed did acknowledge it was wrong for him to do this and showed remorse. From Javed's autobiography Cutting Edge:According to Mohinder Amarnath he abused not only Mohinder but his nationality as well.
An on-field incident from that Jaipur Test has stuck in my mind. There had been crowd trouble, and some of the Pakistan players had been subjected to verbal abuse. We were also disappointed with some of the umpiring decisions; the two teams were on edge with each other and the atmosphere was tense. At one point, I was fielding close in and was airing my feelings to the batsman, who happened to be Mohinder Amernath.
When Mohinder survived what I thought was yet another very legitimate appeal, I reached boiling point. I used an expletive to describe India and Mohinder heard it. Calmly, he walked up to me. 'Look, Javed,' Mohinder said, 'call me anything you want but don't say a word against my country.'
That affected me deeply. I have always regarded my own country as being above everything except Allah. I was embarrassed that I hadn't respected Mohinder's right to feel the same way about his country. I immediately apologized to him.
Clearly wrong of Javed to insult India and I hope Mohinder accepted his apology. I must say it was extremely classy of Mohinder to react the way he did.
