True, It's strange because I feel I have enough bowlers already with Noble and Tait being allrounders, & Trott, Peel & Grace, yet I still have 2 empty spots down the order. And I notice that Noble played most of his innings at no. 4 for Australia.

and to actually answer your question, yeah situations like yours are when I go for a specialist keeper who doesn't really deserve to bat in the top 7(which are pretty much all that's left in the vintage era) to fill the gap. you don't need more than 5 bowlers IMO
