Draft ideas/scheduling thread

If no one has ideas I might start a thread for an amended version of this draft on Saturday. Potentially loosen up the average constraints and add a nationality rule of say at least 8 Test playing nations in XI - will have more time from Saturday to have more of a think on details.

Let's do a Airplane Ticket draft. You start in a country of your choice and have two tickets to fly somewhere else. While you're in a country, you can only pick players who played in that country and not from any other country. Has it been done before?

Come across this mock IPL auction simulator that is run in real time. Not sure of the interest there would be for an IPL auction draft taking place in real time - would mean having to find a suitable time for all drafters but if there is the interest would be interested in this as a draft/auction.

If we were to run it would prefer to draft as RCB - there are 2 options one is based on this years auction with the pre-auction retentions in place and the other is a 'legends' auction of IPL 'legends'. Let me know if you'd be interested and whether you'd prefer option 1 or 2.

Personally I'd prefer Option 1 but am happy with either option. Let me know if you are interested and which option you'd prefer and if enough interest will set up a thread and try to arrange a time window/s


Also, as long as you are signed in the website saves your 'progress' I believe so there is also the option of splitting this draft into multiple sittings.

To discuss draft ideas and when to play them.

Generally there should be 1–2 drafts ongoing at any one time.

Planning to draft a T20 auction once couple of current drafts are over.

And the t20 auction can also contain players who have never played t20. Upto one's imagination on how they would have fared in this format.

That sounds like an exciting idea! A T20 auction with players who have never played in this format would definitely add an element of creativity and strategy. It’s like drafting a team of potential, where you can imagine how each player might adapt and perform in T20 cricket, similar to how a satin bonnet protects and nurtures your hair, you’re imagining how these players could be nurtured in this format
