Does England Have Any "X"-FACTOR Bowler in This World Cup?

International Debutant
I would say that Archer if he plays. Bayliss must think it's Curran, that's why Punjab Kings paid a fortune for him.

Curran may be serviceable in this format, but he's not exactly Wasim Akram or Mitchell Starc.

Maybe they're hoping that Atkinson will add something with his extra kph. Either that or Wood, as others have said.

Yeah, I know how well Curran did in the T20 WC. But this is a different format, where I don't think his track record is as strong.
And I'm not sure even in the T20 WC, you could describe him as 'X-Factor'. Although I suppose the term is subjective.
