Does England Have Any "X"-FACTOR Bowler in This World Cup?

Yeah, I know how well Curran did in the T20 WC. But this is a different format, where I don't think his track record is as strong.
And I'm not sure even in the T20 WC, you could describe him as 'X-Factor'. Although I suppose the term is subjective.
Surely nobody thinks Sam Curran has the "X-Factor"

He's being given the moniker Scrappy Doo on another forum I post on. Which I think is very representative of his character.

He's a fighter of a cricketer definitely a punch above his weight instead of the leader/star of the attack

Which is what this thread is asking the question as to who that is for England. Think Wood or Woakes are your better fit on that front. Archer if he was fit.

No don't think it will be Curran. Wood or Archer.

Archer isn't real.
He was bowling today in the nets with England. Looked good to me.

No fast bowler will get injured and he will probably sit on the sidelines with the other reserves. I'd have him in the 15.

Do you need X Factor bowlers to win a World Cup? In the last one, both England and NZ had 3 who took between 15-20 wickets, but a long way short of Starc's 27.

Bump!

They gave away 400 today.

Their death bowling was almost nonexistent lol
Yeah long-standing issue that was only ever soothed by Archer tbh.

Stokes had his moments too, but now his knee's ****ed. Curran should be decent given his t20 pedigree, but tbh there's not a player in this squad playing near their ability. That's the main problem here.

England gotta stop going on about Archer he might never properly comeback. Guy was an absolute blessing for England in 2019 World Cup without him I don’t think they win it

Shame it wasn’t someone else but if Topley’s World Cup is over then maybe we bring back our X factor bowler
