I love CW, but we don't have the exclusives, nor the ball by ball commentary, nor the depth of analysis that cricinfo has. On the forum you can find a lot of info, but the vast majority of people don't bother with forums.

I know all that, but for me a good forum is just about the best thing about cricket, and if CricInfo still had forums it's perfectly conceivable that I'd never even have come here.

If we were lucky enough to have some more manpower we'd be able to offer all the above, and I hope someday we might indeed do so.

This forum is not the best thing about Cricket. Players playing the game is the best thing about Cricket. And even if Cricinfo had its own forum, there is no guarntee that it would be as good as CW.

CW is the best forum and I dont think any forum can be as good, but the same time, I dont think having more manpower alone is going to make CW website as good as Cricinfo. It is going to take much more than that. Cricinfo was a pioneer in this field, rest of the sites have just tried to follow them and they aren't even close, infact far far behind in their reach and in their content.

Almost every cricket lover in the world who has access to internet knows about cricinfo, same cant be said about any other website including CW. I dont even remember how I first heard about Cricinfo, it just seems that it has always existed.

I think that was Richard posting from Craig's account. Anyways, this cricinfo vs CW talk is all abit silly. They're both awesome in their own way and shouldn't even be compared for a million reasons.

I wasn't originally intending to be remotely serious in my "comparison" (as fairly obviously demonstrated by the fact that my first post pretended to suggest a ban for Cameron, which I'd blatantly never do), of course there are many things CI offers that CW has never yet looked like offering. Nonetheless, CW for how, relatively speaking, small we are do IMO a pretty superb job thanks to some unbelievably dedicated people and some smart work in many different departments. And the forum is pretty well universally recognised by those who post here regularly as the best cricket-related one they've ever posted on.

To suggest CW will ever be at the level CI have reached is highly optimistic (though certainly not impossible). CI got clear of the field, and once someone does that it's always hard to catch 'em. Obviously, on most levels, CW is not even on a plane but that doesn't stop this being a fantastic, fantastic place and not just because of the forum.

I know where you are going with this, you have to win the argument by hook or by crook and that's what you are doing right now.

I have never questioned the dedication of the people who run this site or never said that they dont do a good job here.
