That's funny given that after the first Ashes Test, when most people were saying Anderson was bowling well, you said he didn't because he didn't have the wickets to show for it and its primarily a numbers game.
Care to link me to this post?

Pretty sure the same applies to Hilfenhaus.

I'll have a look later on the computer.

I don't know what Hilfenhaus has to do with anything, although I'm pretty sure people just didn't think he bowled well rather than rubbished his stats.

In my posts following the first test I gave Anderson a 6/10, despite him taking two wickets.

Good try though.

Heh.

I have been looking for the post I remembered or thought I did, and so far have come up relatively fruitless. I did start to think I mixed Anderson & Broad up in my recollections, but can't find too much along those lines for Broad either. This leaves a few possibilities:

1. I was just making it up
2. Someone else made the post and I mixed them up with you
3. I am **** at using the search facility
4. I am sorry

I will hold #4 back for now but I'll let you have this one for now :p

Whilst Dhoni might be a better captain and bowler than Prior, Matt definitely has keeping and batting covered, surely?

In England yes. Dhoni had problems keeping in England last time too.

I'd back Dhoni to be better at both in India.

I'd like to have a look at Prior bowling before agreeing with that - Dhoni is better at losing his slips though

Seriously though, Dhoni is at his worst in terms of keeping in England.

Did a good job in SA and Australia, but struggled last time in England too, with the extra movement past the bat.

Seems to have real trouble anticipating the swing. One of the Sky analyses showed how he'll step off the wrong foot because he's going to early, and not be able to reach these catches that go between him and slip.

Prior 6 tons Dhoni 4 and Dhoni has played 14 more matches. Prior averages 7 more with the bat.

Know who i'd rather have at 7 in my team.
I'd have Prior too, just pointing out its not as clear cut as it seems. Dhoni pre-captaincy and as captain are two different batsmen.

This is still a valid debate but the Kieswetter v Prior thread can definitely go do one now.
Never thought there was one, Bedwetter is a good one day player, Prior isn't. Still think Davies is the man for the one day side though. At least we have options should Prior get injured for the test side.
