Hmmm...worrying stuff that our A team smashed these blokes, while we scraped a draw. Thoroughly disappointed with the first dig, okay stand with Blewy in the second, and kudos to Pete for excellent batting and Sangrah for somewhat penetrative bowling. :)

We smashed Pakistan 'A', we drew 1-1 with India 'A'. It's not the best way to start but this is the first match of the tour, Neil's bowling was good in the first innings and Sangrah was good in both innings, Pete showed his experience in these conditions.

Not a terrible start, but a lot to work on for sure. Well done to Sangrah on tagging down the count to 8 wickets, though it's not about personal milestones. Pete continued his fine subcontinental form, whilst Neil found some rhythm and Haakon spent some time in the middle.

I anticipate a much-improved showing against Mumbai.

Well personal milestones are more important than victory, all that matters in these tour games is not losing and as many bowlers getting the overs under their belts, ideally without going for many, and the batsmen getting time in the middle.
Well played Pete, very well bowled Sangrah throughout and well bowled Neil in the first-innings.
Everyone else - there's still another game to come.

Couldn't help but think Pete really ought to have quickened things up a little when batting with the tail - I made 2 off 15 balls, in a stand of... 2.

Not too happy with my personal performance. While I was economical I still lacked the strike power needed. Some encouraging performances from some of the squad members, but we really need to combine as a team to have a chance on this tour.

Personally I couldn't disagree more.

If I get a pair and the team win, that is far more important than smashing 150 but us losing.
