There's Travis Demeza of the blues as well. Finished around fourth in the wicket taking last year I believe, left arm quick.steds said:I'm just wondering if the lack of our batsman being exposed to left handed seamers in the CW system is a problem. So far Mørk has got out to Pathan twice and Zaheer Khan twice without getting out of single figures. This is probably a tehnical flaw. Pathan took 8 wickets in the first test, so it appears Mørk isn't alone. To my knowledge Collins is the only left handed seamer and Lezama the only left handed batsman, so where would our development league players learn to play left handed bowling or bowl to left handed batsman?
Phillips of the blues last year was a LFM along with Collins LM and Demeza LF.FaaipDeOiad said:There's Travis Demeza of the blues as well. Finished around fourth in the wicket taking last year I believe, left arm quick.

I'd agree with that. Having caught a bit of the matches on TV, it just seems like we need to be a bit more positive. If you bat for 100 overs, you should have a decent total on the board, not be pottering around at 8/170 waiting to be bowled out.Neil Pickup said:Can't help but think that we're batting too slowly - all we're doing is prodding about and waiting for the unplayable ball to come along when we're 17* off 83. RRs of 2 are not in our best interests.

I think a lot of that comes from our openers, nothing personal just they are both similar styles of players, they will see the openers off but only have a few runs on the board and a couple of quick wickets puts the middle order under pressure. That is why i would move Simon back into opener and move one of the other two down to 6/7 with them being able to stick around with a batsman that is in.Neil Pickup said:Can't help but think that we're batting too slowly - all we're doing is prodding about and waiting for the unplayable ball to come along when we're 17* off 83.
