I can't justify voting for a bloke with a 42 fc average over some of these names. Steve Waugh

I think it will be interesting if we just keep going and going (until we get to the everyone for his fav ATNSVG stage perhaps)

How long do y'all want to make the list? Cut it off at 25?

Agreed, we finish it at the moment that my vote for Kepler Wessels gets him over the line.

Or if that's a bridge too far, at least to Stan McCabe.

Interestingly - and, as always, that's subjective - despite a 34-Test run where he averaged nearly 72, and a 52-Test run where he averaged 64, batting with extraordinary dominance and often when runs weren't easy to come by, there hasn't yet been a single vote for Virat Kohli.

I suppose a similar point could be made for Kane Williamson - a six-year, 47-Test run where he averaged 66 hasn't gotten him a vote yet either.

We don't rate modern batting and bowling here.

I think it's fair to say both are slightly short of the players being discussed right now, but could easily get there by the time they retire.

Bit unlucky to play in such a bowling friendly era, but Kohli's form dip and KW's away record are legit black marks.
