This is a definite case of a flawless bowling display of Kennett, and our batting has been, well, flawful, if there's such a word. I'm hoping for a big partnership between Rai and myself now. Heaven forbid, but we need to avoid following on when we're chasing 154.

EDIT: I'm hoping for a big partnership between Wright and myself now.

EDIT: I'm hoping for a big partnership between Jack and myself now.

At least I've recently discovered that we can't be forced to follow on. =/

It seems Red v Colts matches just aren't made to be normal. :p

But this innings on a whole has just been bad for anyone's standards.

Conditions:

Ball : The ball is nice and new.
Pitch : A perfect batting pitch with no visible cracks.
Bounce : High bounce. Just what the fast bowlers want.
Outfield : Very fast outfield. Lots of boundaries likely to be scored.
Weather : Very hot and sunny. Not a cloud in the sky.

Cricket Web Red won the toss and chose to bat

Cricket Web Red 154 all out
Cricket Web Colts 72 all out

Start of Day Two

Cricket Web Red 2nd innings:

Code:
H Mørk b Hancock 17 (34b, 1x4)
T Mamesh	c Malthus-Howellb Hancock 32 (49b, 5x4)
JE Stedman	c Thomas	b Hancock 5 (13b, 1x4)
RJ Dauth	lbw b Hancock 7 (11b, 1x4)
GKK Dobson	not out
A Feeney	not out
Extras 10

Total 77/4 (16.2 ov)

GM Thomas 5-0-23-0
KS Wright 9-1-29-0
NR Hancock 4.3-0-18-4
0.0 Mørk and Mamesh setting off to increase their lead here.
9.0 20 wickets fell in the first 76 overs - Mørk and Mamesh are showing how it should be played, and are plundering runs at present, with a lead of 112. The Colts will have a lot to think about going into the pavilion.
Welcome back, the last day's play was certainly eventful, 20 wickets falling for very little before Mørk and Mamesh played entertaining cricket in the late hours. Hancock to open the bowling with Wright.
10.4 That's the end of Mørk's innings - once again he fails to convert a start for the Reds. Hancock's fourth ball gives him a wicket today.
12.5 Hancock's at it again! Mamesh has hit that high to midwicket but Bharat puts it down, Mamesh survives on 27.
14.5 Stunning spell from Hancock, this. Stedman slices the ball to Greg Thomas, who doesn't look too unhappy with being taken off. Hancock's just as unplayable as Thomas was yesterday.
16.1 Mamesh hoiks Hancock, four runs.
16.2 Mamesh hoiks Hancock, right down the throat of Malthus-Howell. Out for 32.
18.3 Hancock to Dauth...yorker! Dauth gets hit on the toe, plumb in front, easiest lbw decision you'll ever see. Hancock's taken four for 18 in a stunning spell here.
18.6 McNamara brought on for Wright.

72 all out. I think that's a record low innings. Definitely lower than any other this season and last season, anyway...

24.1 Robbins calls Borcich back...then changes his mind and gives Borcich the go-ahead. Runs in, bowls...yorker! Thomas can't get his bat down and it's all over. 72 all out, and the Reds are, inexplicably, leading by 82 in this match.
Where's Dave?

18.6 McNamara brought on for Wright.
22.2 And again! Thirteen successive dot balls, Dobson crumbles under the pressure and gives an outside edge to captain Wright. Five down for 88, and it's a five-for from Nick Hancock.
26.5 Slower ball from Rai - Robbins thumps it to the boundary. Four runs and that's 12 off the over, including four leg byes.
33.1 That's shattered his stumps! Feeney drags the ball from McNamara back onto his own wicket, he's gone for 14 to leave Reds in a spot of bother again. And Hancock may be coming back after lunch.
37.4 Robbins slices to Pitt, silly shot at this stage. Red are seven down now, as Thomas gets his first wicket in this innings.
38.2 Rai has the final say as he precipitates an early lunch by taking the wicket of Borcich. With a lead of 204, the match is very interestingly poised still
39.6 Ooh, what an over from Thomas! Varied bowling, nearly had Bennett lbw and caught. Then Bennett gets a single on the final ball off the outside edge.
42.1 Hancock back for Rai.
42.3 Hancock bowls...Bennett tries to cut but slices the ball to second slip. Greg Thomas holds on.
42.5 Kennett hits Hancock for three. Onto 7 off 11 balls.
45.2 Thomas gets the final wicket, but if Colts are to win this they are to thank Hancock. A magnificent spell this morning has sent Reds reeling, and the target to win here at Goffmouth is a meagre 217.
