Geg and Pickup for an annoying 40 run stand, please. With a pickup six off Warne. That'd do just fine, God.

Day 3 Lunch: CW XI 5/438
Day 3 Tea: Australia 0/3

Australia trail by 105 runs with 6 wickets in hand.

Trailing by 194 runs, the Australian batsmen have a lot to do in their second innings. They'll take heart from their performance in the last hour or so, but the Cricket Web XI is still in control of this Test, searching for a 1-1 series result.

2.6 Kennett to Hayden: wide off offstump and left alone.
3.4 Kennett to Hayden: punched off the backfoot and it bounces past Camps at backward point - FOUR.
8.6 Hoy to Hayden: short ball - PULLED for FOUR!
10.4 Hoy to Langer: OUT! Lovely delivery... pitched on offstump and swung away marginally to take the edge. Hoy hasn't had many wickets on this tour, but they've been great deliveries when he's had 'em.
17.3 Thomas to Ponting: too short and PULLED for FOUR!
18.1 Pickup to Hayden: full toss DRIVEN through midoff for FOUR!
18.4 Pickup to Ponting: use of the feet and flicked past midwicket - FOUR!
20.4 Pickup to Hayden: FANTASTIC! He's snatched that one out of the air one-handed! Great catch by Goff at short midwicket. Poor stroke, as he was beaten by the flight
23.4 Thomas to Ponting: TAKEN!!! The Cricket Web fielders launch into huge celebration once more! Thomas bowled another beauty to Ponting and gets him for the third time in the series!
24.6 Pickup to Hussey: BIG HIT! Maximum. Hussey counterattacks now.
25.1 Thomas to Martyn: lobbed and CAUGHT! Good calm catch taken by Kennett at midon, on his knees. Thomas deceived him with a slower one. The Webheads sense victory...

Code:
DR Martyn c Kennett b Thomas 2 (12)
29.3 Kennett to Hussey: driven through the covers - FOUR.
30.3 Pickup to Hussey: too short... cut for FOUR.

Australia trail by 105 runs with 6 wickets in hand.

A thrilling game of cricket once more. This has truly been a memorable series, and the Cricket Web XI are looking to end it on an historic note with their first Test match win against Australia. For such a young cricketing nation, the achievement is almost beyond belief, but with just 6 more wickets to get, it is well within touching distance.

Stay tuned.

36.3 Kennett to Hussey: there we go! A WICKET! Hussey couldn't keep his cut shot down and Hoy takes a really good catch.

Code:
MEK Hussey	c Hoy b Kennett 22 (43)
36.5 Kennett to Gilchrist: into stride with a lofted boundary. Counterattack on the cards...
37.1 Hoy to Symonds: FLASHING and DROPPED! Butler puts it down at second slip. Relatively simple chance...
40.4 Kennett to Gilchrist: he pounds it past the extra-cover fielder... FOUR!
40.5 Kennett to Gilchrist: and again! Same ball, same shot, same measure of runs.
41.5 Hoy to Gilchrist: SHORT... PULLED! FOUR!
42.6 Kennett to Symonds: he leans into that one and gets a boundary of his own. Australia on the go.
44.5 Thomas to Gilchrist: CRACKING cut stroke! FOUR more to Gilchrist!

53.4 Pickup to Gilchrist: swept fine and they get two.
53.5 Pickup to Gilchrist: LOFTED dead straight! Just short of SIX - FOUR!
53.6 Pickup to Gilchrist: he breaks out the sweep again! This is just pulled back by Hoy - 3 runs.

54.4 Camps to Symonds: the leading edge has gone straight up... Kennett runs in from the long-on fence... CAUGHT! Good judgement there and very safely held. Big wicket, as the Australians were starting to take charge a bit.

Code:
A Symonds c Kennett b Camps 41 (97)
59.5 Pickup to Wane: AGAIN! Pickup gets him for the second time in the game. Safe catch at slip by Mamesh. He's clutching that to chest for dear life. The Webheads sense the moment once more...

Code:
SK Warne c Mamesh b Pickup 6 (18)
And they head off for lunch before Lee can get to the middle.

60.2 Hoy to Lee: DROPPED! Spilled by Mamesh at first slip.
61.5 Pickup to Lee: HOWZAT??! Big appeal, as always with Pickup. Turned down by Bucknor.
61.6 Pickup to Lee: SHOT! Overpitched and Lee gets some confidence with that shot surely.
62.3 Hoy to Lee: PLAYED ON! Gilchrist gave Lee the strike in confidence, and he's lost another partner.

63.3 Pickup to Gilchrist: too short and he's found the gap - FOUR.
64.6 Hoy to Gilchrist: driven dead straight and it beats the stumps - FOUR!

Gilchrist having a bit too much fun! Hopefully one will go to hand soon enough.

Ouch, really dug into Pickup that over.

EDIT: Great stuff, Camps, just what we needed. :) Get that other bloke down the other end while you're at it, eh? ;)

Give our batsmen little to do, guys - I'm sure they won't mind chasing something like 50 or less. :)

EDIT: Biiiiiiiiig wicket! Go Neil! :D

Australia 1st innings 280 all out
Cricket Web XI 1st innings 474 all out
Australia 2nd innings 248 all out

Code:
Cricket Web XI 2nd innings Runs 4	6
T Mamesh not out 44 (26)	8	0
H Mørk not out 10 (26)	1	0
Extras 1
Total (8.3 overs) 0/55

FoW:

B Lee 3-0-26-0
SR Clark	1-0-14-0
SK Warne	3-1-6-0
JN Gillespie	1.3-0-9-0
The equation is simple. With about a day and a half remaining in this game, the Cricket Web XI batsmen need to score 55 runs to record their first every Test win over Australia. Twice in ODIs have they beaten Australia, but Test victory is so much sweeter.

The Austrlians won't be gifting any runs, and we could be in for an intense session of cricket here as a result.

0.2 Lee to Mamesh: first run... played to the legside and they take a quick single.
1.1 Clark to Mamesh: UPPERCUT over the slip cordon... FOUR!
1.3 Clark to Mamesh: PULL SHOT! Ferocious and FOUR more!
1.6 Clark to Mamesh: CUT over the top again! FOUR! Well this is one way to go after a small total!
2.1 Lee to Mørk: calmly tucked off his legs for a single.
2.2 Lee to Mamesh: FLASHED past Hayden in the gully - FOUR!
2.3 Lee to Mamesh: hit over midoff now! FOUR more! Great entertainment!
2.4 Lee to Mamesh: BANGED in and BANGED away! FOUR to the midwicket fence! Mamesh sparing no time at all!
Warne replaces Clark...
3.1 Warne to Mamesh: BEATEN in the flight, but it squeezes away for a single.
4.3 Lee to Mørk: now he's in on the act with a lovely cover drive! FOUR!
6.1 Gillespie to Mamesh: UPPERCUT again! He loves that shot and prospers with FOUR more runs.
8.3 Gillespie to Mamesh: SHOT through the covers! That's it! FOUR runs to win the game in style! A really dominant finish for the Cricket Web XI, who have finally finished off a game in this series. A rare Test match win!

Cricket Web XI won by 10 wickets
