Another dropped catch, Hayden gets another life.

Where's the catching gone I ask thee?

Right, let's hold on to Hussey this time around...

Edit: and ended it up top-edging it to the offside. Mørk dove full-stretch to take a blinder. That was quick!

No slips? Or did I not trust them enough? :D

Pickup single-handedly putting the cat amongst the pigeons, seems all a little late though.

Australia win by 7 wickets.
You'd have to say that with just 43 runs needed and 7 wickets intact, Australia are well on their way to another Test match win, but anyone who witnessed the inspired spell of spin bowling from Neil Pickup last night will certainly start today with some doubts.

The Cricket Web XI have fought hard throughout this game and, aside from a 203-run period yesterday, have largely traded blow for blow with the best in the world. Pickup epitomized that heart and spirit, and if there is any room left for a miracle on this fifth morning, surely it would be in the hands of Neil Pickup.

David Kennett to bowl the first ball of the day...
77.1 Kennett to Hussey: driven away and a confident shot for FOUR. Not the ideal start for the Webheads. The requirement is now under 40...

80.5 Pickup to Hussey: gives himself rooms and crashes the ball through the covers for FOUR. Hussey continues to crush the Cricket Web spirits...

The new ball taken in a last gasp effort.
81.6 Kennett to Hussey: CHOPPED down...past legstump and down to the ropes for FOUR! So close... more frustration.

88.6 Hoy to Martyn: defended carefully off the backfoot and that ends the over. That's 4 consecutive maidens, and 27 balls since a run off the bat.

89.2 Thomas to Hussey: slapped past point - runs! FOUR of them.

Pickup to bowl with a ball that is 9 overs old. Australia on the verge.

90.1 Pickup to Martyn: short and PULLED for FOUR! 2 needed...
90.2 Pickup to Martyn: oh dear! And even now, with the pressure off... Goff dropped the simplest chance he will get all series. It was a terrible shot and straight into his lap at short extra cover.

90.3 Pickup to Martyn: flicked past short midwicket and that's it. That's all they need, but they take one more for good measure. Australia fight their way to a comfortable 7-wicket win.

A very disappointing result, but a very encouraging performance. Stealing the Man of the Match award from Neil Pickup is Shane Warne.
