Surely not surprising though? I don't necessarily think he is but it's not exactly a view that can be definitively proved wrong. His numbers and impact on the team he played for are pretty compelling. Certainly in the same league as any other contender for the greatest ever crown. The whole argument about the greatest fast bowler ever is nigh on impossible because the top bowlers are actually not all that similar so comparisons are fairly difficult.
