The Wheel is Forever
Agreed.Top 4 matches against each other and bottom 4 matches would all be very close you feel. Perhaps with England trailing the top and Sri Lanka dominating the bottom though.

After the WI-Australia series, Australia drop slightly, and West Indies go up, but not by much:
- Australia (1569)
- England (1016)
- South Africa (970)
- India (951)
- Pakistan (843)
- Sri Lanka (808)
- New Zealand (790)
- West Indies (476)
- Bangladesh (80)
The next series is the India-Sri Lanka one in July I believe. Sri Lanka won it last time, if in the unlikely event, India win it 3-0, they'll move all the way into second place. If India win it 2-0, they will be tied with England (England will have a higher score on decimal points). If India win 2-1, they'll be alone at third place while a drawn series will put them equal with South Africa with third.
No change in position, but slight change in points now that the Oval has officially been changed to a draw instead of a win for England.
- Australia (1571)
- England (1003)
- South Africa (971)
- India (951)
- Pakistan (862)
- Sri Lanka (808)
- New Zealand (791)
- West Indies (477)
- Bangladesh (80)
Unlikely surely, but not highly so. India lost 2-1 last time, and won 2-1 the time before. And now they have no McGrath.Highly unlikely IMO.
Highly unlikely IMO.
As would I, but do you expect them to win, or are you just hoping they will?
I'd be disappointed if India don't win myself TBH.
Hmm i don't think India can possibly be favourites given the sides respective recent form. If they are i'll be having a punt on Australia for sure.If I'd be disappointed to see them not, then that suggests some expectation, no?
I'm not expecting them to trample them underfoot, but I do think that if all goes well they're favourites.
Might be rather different had Australia just played in Sri Lanka and India in West Indies TBH.
In fact I'd also hope SL could beat Aus at home right this minute.
I watched every ball, and I'd definitely disagree with that. They played on a traditional Indian pitch on only one match, and they lost despite winning the toss and India having to bat last. Second test, they got a custom made SA pitch, and took great advantage. But SA were definitely the better team when they toured India, a series i did watch a lot of.
Well yeah, but I thought it may have been hopeful expectation more than anything. I would also be slightly disappointed if India don't win, but I don't expect them too.If I'd be disappointed to see them not, then that suggests some expectation, no?
They can .....India has stopped the winning streaks of many teams.......and since India is an unpredictable team......anything could happenAs would I, but do you expect them to win, or are you just hoping they will?
Not sure about quite a bit of that TBH.Hmm, Sri Lanka were the better team in the last series by all accounts, although i did not watch it so can't be sure. But SA were definitely the better team when they toured India, a series i did watch a lot of. In fact, India have now lost three straight series. They play England next so at least we know it won't be four in a row, but i'd still be shocked if Australia weren't considered favourites- when was the last time they lost any test series?
