Good game here, Terry departs. Need a big innings from Cannning now.

Pearce 4-0-15-1
Tedstone* 1 (3 balls)
Canning 1 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Terry b. Pearce 8 (FOW: 30/3)

Cameron in trouble, though the big man can turn it around.

Beaten to it :(

9.5 W Littlejohn to Virk
Gone! That was a perfect lifter on middle stump, and seaming away to boot. Virk feathers a limp defensive stroke through to the keeper, and then begins the long walk back!

Carn Brackenhurst!

EDIT:

12.1 . Hindle to James
Well that is quite remarkable! The ball has crept through James's defence and trickled onto the stumps but the bails haven't budged!

Could have been the match, damn glued on bails.

Hoping Norris can have an impact on a spinners pitch otherwise Andy will run away with it, Norris has an awful record for an exceptional/quality bowler but he's been better this season. Sainsbury and AKD will get hammered all over the shop and Islam onlt has 3 left and the game could well be all over by the time he comes back on.

currenlty 67-3 after 14

Playing Sad Decadent XI aws. Resting three bowlers (Lancaster, Watkins, Ellis) but only needed two anyway.

End of Over 9: 24-10, runrate=2.67
Downer 4-0-16-6
Whitehorne 4-0-7-4

Connells Estates CG Gears Up for Opening Match.

The 'for sale' boards have gone down and the annoying merchandise is being dished out to the locals for the opening CW Cup match for the Connells team. Local children have been given inflatables in the shape of 'sold' and 'for sale' signs to bang together during the game. Stay away manager, Heath Davis, has phoned in his tactics from the other side of the world, but is staying mum as to whether Connells will be playing star player Eddie Ireland.

Davis said, "Ireland picked up a knock in this week's four dayer and he's looking a bit short of match fitness. We have Stuart Batty and former club captain, Rob Wright who are both able to slot in if required, but we'll be assessing Ireland on match day to decide whether he'll play."

Big doubts also exist over whether Graeme Adu will take the field. The home-grown run scoring machine has been a little short of his best form this year, and it is thought that Matt 'Stuart' Murdoch may make a move up the order for the cup match.

The last few overs have been outrageously expensive, Hinselwood going for 40 off his 3 overs. There's still a chance for us though.

End of Over 25: 157-2, runrate=6.28, reqrunrate=7.24 (337-3)
Hinshelwood 3-0-40-0
Mansfield* 30 (27 balls)
Tucker 89 (67 balls)
Last Wicket: Craddock c. Bernard b. Hammond 24 (FOW: 70/2)

You do realise Tucker is one best bats on here. Should be scoring a lot faster then that IMO.

Jeithoon wicket first ball btw. Don't know if that is good thing or bad thing. Kealey and Warnock in together.

Yeah Tucker would have to be one of most underperforming or overated batsmen on here as well.

Anyway another masterful player turned up. One of English media larky must have reminded him that Bardle played U19s and he didn't. Your turn Bardle, don't think this is over just yet. Fair bit of swing around it seems.

Code:
End of Over 9: 27-10, runrate=3.00
Jeithoon 4-1-9-6
Aldred* 7 (10 balls)

FFS, Donohoe out, into the tail now. Am livid.

Code:
And that's the end of the match. Lancashire won by 11 runs.
Lancashire	245-6
Magical Ponies	234-10

End of Over 48: 234-10, runrate=4.88
Islam	9-0-48-8
Kilkenny*	3 (3 balls)

47.6 W	Islam to Potgieter
Great ball, moving away off the seam, a faint nick, and Howell takes the catch behind the stumps.
47.5 W	Islam to Erasmus
Erasmus has edged the ball to Howell and the umpire's given it!
47.4 .	Islam to Erasmus
Nice away movement there as Erasmus plays and misses. The non-striker gives Erasmus a little wave and the batsmen wander out of their creases for a brief mid-pitch discussion.
47.3 W	Islam to Fernando
Snick... and gone! Smart catch by Howell, diving away to his left.
47.3 wd	Islam to Fernando
That one pitched outside off and kept going, wide called.
47.2 W	Islam to Donohoe
That's out! A thin nick through to Howell.
47.1 1	Islam to Kilkenny
On leg stump and he flicks it away to fine leg.

End of Over 47: 232-6, runrate=4.94, reqrunrate=4.67 (245-6)
Pearce	9-0-37-2
Kilkenny*	2 (2 balls)
Donohoe	1 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Canning b. Pearce 100 (FOW: 228/6)
46.6 b2	Pearce to Donohoe
The bowler can't believe that has missed everything! Donohoe is relieved as he scampers through for two byes
46.5 1	Pearce to Kilkenny
Played into the ground as they scramble for the single, cover quick to field but Kilkenny made his ground.
46.4 1	Pearce to Donohoe
Played back down the track. Long off running in to field.
46.3 W	Pearce to Canning
Went for the big heave-ho, but completely missed it! He hangs his head as he makes the long walk back to the pavilion.
46.2 1	Pearce to Kilkenny
Angled in, played around to mid wicket.
46.1 1	Pearce to Canning
Tucked away nicely backward of square for the single.
And that's a century for Canning! Well played indeed Sir!

End of Over 46: 226-5, runrate=4.91, reqrunrate=5.00 (245-6)
Islam	8-0-46-4
Canning*	99 (111 balls)
Kilkenny	0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Griffin c. Howell b. Islam 0 (FOW: 226/5)
45.6 W	Islam to Griffin
Thick edge from Griffin and it's hit the man at slip on the leg! It's in the air, it must be. Yes, Howell caught it! OUT!
45.5 W	Islam to Tedstone
That's seamed in from well outside off. Tedstone offers no shot and the umpire has no choice but to give him out.
