lol only two matches not confirmed by Friday and you are disappointed, Lucky you didn't run the early cups. Would have been crying by the end of group 2nd round.

Cracking 100 and taking 4 wickets will be considored a victory for us tomorrow and you couldn't see us making more than 10 against Asterix XI. A win against Nayak would be great, but that's probably out of our reach as well :(

Really looking forward to this. Should cruise through 2 of the 3 matches, but the Boggles vs Four Pillars match is set to be a cracker. Just lost by 20 runs to Zulus Warriors this week in the league, and they've won both Div I and the Cup in previous seasons. Also they GFI'd me back, which gives me more confidence in my team against decent opposition.

Will be watching the Ponies Kipper game tomorrow, maybe a bit of the Panthers Wonderers too, not many other close matches though.

Also, Hak, Tozzer vs Scaly game starts at 10:30 not 0:30

Will be watching:

Magical Ponies (5409) v Lancashire (195)
Victoria Panthers (5776) v Withington Wonderers (425)

Got a feeling Mike might be able to get an upset.

Coco's Nuts Team for today:

John Ashton
Trevor Farrell
Shaun Nkosinathi
Dickie Prutton
Hamid Ridgewell
Lee Howard (C) (Wk)
Seamus Williams
Bob Andre
Johnnie Lock
Joe Chinnery
Jonathon Hartburn

Unfortunately this week sees a few players suspended from the game due to a mid-week drinking session forcing the manager to abandon the ridiculous notion he at one time held onto that he'd test his team to see how they ago against strong opposition. This may be revised in the next hour or so though, depending on mood.

Whoops, daylight savings ending had me thinking I had more time to change than I did. Never mind, it's the difference between an absolute pasting and a soul-destroying loss the likes of which many of my young players in this game might never recover from.

We're batting first and have booked a lunchtme slot for 17 at the local seafood restaurant in anticipation of being free of all cricketing duties by 11:35. If there's not at least one wicket in the first over it'll be a miracle. Ashton to be out before I even finish typing this sentence...

Unsurprisingly, Nick Wikus bowls the ball to a Coconut which ends in the first wicket of this year's group stage. (A runout, as the post below confirms.) Matt Conn of Central Districts took the first wicket by a bowler.

Perhaps more surprisingly, Zia Burnip of Brackenhurst thumps the first six.

Yes early wicket. Bertos in 2nd over, should be good game to watch now. Smacks a four off the first ball too.

4/5 off 2.2 overs...

If only that was the result of a good bowling effort on my behalf rather than my batting.

****ing daylight savings lol. I wasn't sure if I had my orders set correctly, but it looks like I do thankfully. Decent start too.

End of Over 7: 46-0, runrate=6.57
Angus 4-0-29-0
Badenhorst* 16 (18 balls)
Bernard 29 (24 balls)
