When did a bring Wasim's batting into it? I pointed out he brings a different set of attributes/skills (left handedness, reverse swing mastery etc.) which the others don't. Hence, some people might be inclined to pick him over other bowlers whom they consider better.
he could possess all those attributes but when it comes to output, mcgrath and few others bowlers outperformed him.

That's why I didn't say Wasim was better than them. But if you need a 3 man pace attack, and you pick Marshall/Mcgrath as your first two pacers, picking Wasim as the third pacer provides you a different option rather than picking Hadlee/Steyn/Ambrose etc who might be better than him but provide a similar skillset to the above 2. Also, I myself, don't fully agree with this and pick Hadlee as the third pacer in my all time XI, but I do understand the logic of picking Wasim.

Wasim will almost always be in my AT XIs for this reason.

I don't think Wasims left handedness is a big draw if you already have Sobers. His mastery over reverse is.
