On quality, maybe. Career wise think Pat will need a couple of years. Definitely close though, unlike Smith and Chappell.I'm assuming you aren't saying Lillee is worse than Cummins.
Why?Pat is not particularly close to Lillee
his record in England and New Zealand doesn't quite approach Lillee, and Lillee at this point in his career was taking something silly, like 5.3 WPM to Cummins's 4.3.Why?
Better in SC, and NZ Lillee played in was really mid.his record in England and New Zealand doesn't quite approach Lillee, and Lillee at this point in his career was taking something silly, like 5.3 WPM to Cummins's 4.3.
Lillee hasn't played enough in SC for us to say anything really, Cummins averages 30 in SC and I don't think I can give much points for that, personally wouldn't put Cummins ahead of someone like Walsh.Better in SC, and NZ Lillee played in was really mid.
Not yet.I'm assuming you aren't saying Lillee is worse than Cummins.
Don't agree really. Think Cummins is better at home and Lillee was mid in WI as well, so not placing him much ahead based on that away record.Lillee hasn't played enough in SC for us to say anything really, Cummins averages 30 in SC and I don't think I can give much points for that, personally wouldn't put Cummins ahead of someone like Walsh.
why do you have Cummins ahead of WalshDon't agree really. Think Cummins is better at home and Lillee was mid in WI as well, so not placing him much ahead based on that away record.
Yeswhy do you have Cummins ahead of Walsh
Dude the criteria is an average side which means you will have average pacers with Warne.still believe Warne and Ponting are the key, Warne can bowl Murali overs when needed, and you'd be certain to find better pacers in any Australian side than you're to find a comparable spinner to Shane.
Cummins is comfortably better than WalshLillee hasn't played enough in SC for us to say anything really, Cummins averages 30 in SC and I don't think I can give much points for that, personally wouldn't put Cummins ahead of someone like Walsh.
why thoughCummins is comfortably better than Walsh
Simply more penetrative with sufficient display outside home in Eng, SA and Pak to show he isn't just a home bully. I would wait until he gets 300 though before declaring him definitely better.why though
He looked pretty toothless the last Ashes in England and hasn't done nearly enough in Asia compared to Walsh's 77 @ 20 for him to put him ahead.Simply more penetrative with sufficient display outside home in Eng, SA and Pak to show he isn't just a home bully. He had reasons outside cricket I think for that display but it wasn't a good series. He looked pretty toothless the last Ashes in England and hasn't done nearly enough in Asia compared to Walsh's 77 @ 20 for him to put him ahead.
I probably sound kallis here, but that’s no excuse for me.He had reasons outside cricket I think for that display but it wasn't a good series.
Walsh doesn't take 4WPM at home and sucks in Aus where played the most away.
I think Cummins needs another good Eng or SC series to seal his case but I watched both and think Cummins is just a more reliable wickettaker.
