Warne just edges Murali for me.

Need my Spinner to have that little more X factor which is where Warney gets ahead of Saqi and Murali.
I agree with the xfactor part. I think 80 percent of the time the pacers will do the job in ODIs but I like Warne for coming in those special occasions.

Also, Warne was a decent slogger.

Warne's runs per innings in odis is just around 9-10 which is hardly a big bonus
Yeah Warne might have been reasonably useful as lower order batsman but not in ODIs. There would be a much stronger case for picking Pollock over McGrath for batting ability than picking Warne over Murali.

What? Pollock gets picked over Mcgrath on bowling alone. Better economy, similar average, more longevity + only thing he's worse is in S/R

Pollock and Garner are locks in ATG ODI XI. The question is who are u gonna pick between Hadlee, Akram, Mcgrath for the 3rd seamer.
