Unlucky guys, we played very well for periods, we just couldn't hold the dominance for the whole game.

Minutes later Tarick Weber was red carded after a moment of madness, headbutting Reuben Verghese, the second such instance from a United player in 2 games.

Tarick you better not party around town in Stallion city..

Island Swell vs Northern Power
at the Clowich Stadium


Any point for the Island swell would see them through to the Final of the pre-season cup, whilst the Power needed to win by more then 4 goals to make their way into the Final...

Hopes of a miracle for the Power though were shattered after only 8 minutes when a poor offside call allowed Matt Luff through on goal and give the Swell a 1-0 lead..

On 25 minutes any hope of a turnaround was squashed as Myles Hutchinson scored his 4th in as many games to put the Swell 2 up and almost garauntee them into the Final...

The Power were denied a chance to get a goal back when a clear penalty was denied after Richards cut down Reddlapalli in the area..
Another crucial call against the Power just before the break when the referee and his assistant decided that a Mamesh shot that cannoned off the bar didnt cross the line, replays suggested otherwise..

So at the break it was the Swell up 2-0 but in all reality it could have been 2-1 the other way...

After the break Powers day was made even worse when a second yellow to Xavier Rose in the area saw him red-carded and a Penalty awarded.. Swell captain Kevin Gough made no mistake and all of a sudden it was 3-0..

It was not the Powers day, and although they fought hard they were unable to make any inroads into the Swell side with only 10 men..

The Swell made their way into the innaugural Pre-Season Cup Final whilst the Power were left wondering what could have been..
