BARNES OUT
The sims crazy IMO, played through 3 seasons and lined up against Adelaide whose forward line had Lloyd, Pav and Lance Franklin.
I think your problem there was that you were on the previous week, you had to press the arrow, or something up in the right corner to progress to the next week.I had problem(bug) that when i simmed some matches and stopped them, then the button for continuing or simming more matches was then disabled.. so every time i had to save the game and reload it, which clearly sucked.
Just for reference; the above draft was tweaked slightly:#1: Brendan Lade - Carlton
The surprise number 1 pick taken by Carlton is the big ruckman Lade. With Cain Ackland not looking like ever setting the world on fire, and Cam Cloke being plain ****, Lade's excellent all round game will be vital for the Blues.
#2: Shaun Burgoyne - Essendon
The classy midfielder will be a valuable addition to a young Essendon midfield lacking a real star.
#3: Warren Tredrea - Kangaroos
Joins Nathan Thompson in what now looks like one of the most potent FF/CHF combos in the league.
#4: Chad Cornes - Brisbane
An easy choice for Brisbane who are having to rely on the young and erratic Jarrad Brennan at CHB. Adds star power to an emerging side.
#5: Kane Cornes - Cricketweb
Despite having a bevy of promising midfielders, CW takes the younger Cornes brother with their pick. Expected to get the important tagging job on the opposition's number one midfielder, Cornes will become very important to the CW unit.
#6: Troy Chaplin - Hawthorn
Hawthorn surprises everyone taking the promising, but unproven key backman with their pick. While looking good in every area of the ground, Danny Jacobs and Steve Gilham will appreciate another tall defender helping them out.
#7: Peter Burgoyne - Geelong
While not as quick as his younger brother, Peter Burgoyne is a super player and it was a surprise he was let slip by so many clubs. The Cats have a decent core group of midfielders built around Bartel and Gary Ablett Jr, but Burgoyne will add a bit of flair and experience.
#8: Danyle Pearce - Richmond
The exciting youngster won the 2006 Rising Star award and will add to a promising group of Tiger midfielders. He will also be expected to kick a couple of goals a game.
#9: Dean Brogan - Western Bulldogs
Peter Street may try hard, but he won't guide the Dogs to a premiership. So the Bulldogs were ecstatic when Port's youngish ruckman was still available at pick 9. His good skills and aggression are just what the Dogs need.
#10: Steven Salopek - Melbourne
The highly skilled midfielder goes to a Melbourne side that has talent in that area, but lacks depth. Should be a into a 200 game player.
#11: Michael Pettigrew - St Kilda
Able to play back or forward, Pettigrew will be expected to take the 2nd or 3rd best tall in the opposition's forward line each week.
#12: Damon White - Collingwood
Big, strong lad who the Pies will expect to play a big role up forward beside Anthony Rocca. Can take a key forward if needed.
#13: Brett Ebert - Sydney
With Michael O'Loughlin winding down and Ryan O'Keefe playing further and further up the ground, Ebert should have plenty of influence for the Swans. With great hands and quick off the mark, his only problem being his lack of height.
#14: Daniel Motlop - Fremantle
With Pavlich and Tarrant taking the two best defenders, Motlop could finally be able to show his potential at Fremantle. If he gets his fitness levels right, could also play a part in the middle.
#15: Josh Mahoney - Adelaide
Not an exciting or eye catching player, but he plays his role to perfection and often gets under the guard of the opposition.
#16: Alipate Carlile - West Coast
The Eagles go with promise taking the strong bodied Fijian with their pick. While by no means a sure thing to make it, he will be given a chance in a championship side, and could be anything.
* Mitchell (Port Adelaide) takes an easy overhead mark. He looks to play on quickly and kicks.
* The kick is perfect and lands in the arms of Richards (Port Adelaide). He goes back to line up the goals. The kick is on its way and its a GOAL!
1/4 Time* The ball is placed nicely out in front of Augustus (Port Adelaide) . He runs onto the ball then wastes no time getting his kick away.
* The kick is placed nicely out in front of Donald (Port Adelaide). He cleverly picks up the loose ball and fires off the handball.
* Receiving the handball is Chaulk (Port Adelaide). He breaks a tackle and runs into an open goal square and kicks a GOAL!.
3/4 Time* Free kick to Chaulk (Port Adelaide). He goes short.
* Gray (Port Adelaide) takes the mark well within kicking distance of goal. He looks to pass but then decides to go back and have a shot. The ball is on its way and it's a GOAL!
-----
* The ball is bounced in the centre. Laycock (Essendon) wins the hitout. It goes to noone however. Getting to the ball first is Cornes (Port Adelaide) who quickly puts boot to ball
* Fuller (Port Adelaide) takes an easy mark within kicking distance of goal. After taking his time lining up the goals he comes in and kicks a terrific GOAL!
-----
* The umpire comes in to bounce the ball. Laycock (Essendon) hits the ball forward from the bounce. McNamara (Port Adelaide) contests hard to win the loose ball. He picks it up and gets a hurried handball away
* Donald (Port Adelaide) fights hard to win the hurried hand-pass. He picks it up then gives off a look away handball
* The handpass was poor but still finds a teammate in Richards (Port Adelaide). He balances himself before kicking a GOAL!
Now I do really have doubts about this sim...Best
