Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

Chubb

International Regular
It is still FC and does allow overseas.

In recent years it's been mostly Zimbabwe-born county players like Ben Curran and Eddie Byrom. More and more Pakistanis are involved as well. Some are there to boost their chances of a UK visa, others seek to emulate Sikandar Raza.

It may seem counter-intuitive for a Pakistani player to go to Zimbabwe, but apparently if you have first-class experience your chances of a visa for the UK increase - which opens up club cricket as a professional there. Zim are keen for players to come and improve the standard, so it's a win-win.

Antum Naqvi and Faraz Akram are the two most successful Zimbo-Pakistanis after Raza, though they are both children of Pakistani immigrants to other countries (Belgium/Australia in Naqvi's case, Saudi for Akram).
On this, Northants duo Saif Zaib and Alex Russell are playing for Southern Rocks and Mashonaland Eagles respectively. Ben Curran is also back as a domestic player and already made a ton. It won't be long until he plays for Zimbabwe.
