Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

My memory may be failing me somewhat, but the Balaji I remember didn't really swing it that much at all. From what I recall moving it in a bit inwards off the seam from a shortish length was his general modus operandi
He did swing it, but it's been a while and I can't remember if that was his general MO.

Judging purely from his action and ODI cricket my assumption would be that big inswingers to the right-hander would have been his stock with the red ball

for me Srinath, Mohanty and BKV Prasad could have been suited well to England
Srinath and Prasad averaged 39.36 and 25.00 in their only series in England in '96. Not sure what you can draw from that. Somehow Prasad does strike me as being the more suited of the two. Bit closer to the stumps and a fuller length than Srinath.

Mohanty had no business being on an international cricket field.

wtf was the batsman playing at there, neither protec nor attac
Actually a bit of a story behind it. It was Mitch Marsh facing Rabada and he didn't actually miss it by much, there was controversy re. the tracking technology because supposedly it picked up the wrong impact point (hit the foot first and then the pad). Can't remember if the general consensus was "out" or "not out" but it was a vicious ball and Marsh a walking wicket anyway so not really important. Here's a video & article of the "incident":

Malinga never chucked IIRC

Also looks like he delivered it with a vertical arm like most bowlers, just leaning over a lot. Malinga delivered pretty side arm

Uh-huh. He tilts over more than usual but it's otherwise a very normal action for the era. As I've stressed quite often, there was nothing special about a slinging action then.

And as for the lower film strip, it tells its story.

International Coach
kyle jamieson has four threads on the CC first page about him now - surely that's some sort of record? and if not, who holds it?

Whatever it takes!!!
I guess it may also be due to him thinking IPL led to Windies having to field almost second string teams for a while, but hey, NZ made it work and now WI have woken up under the new management and getting it to work. There is a middle ground here that benefits everyone involved and the ones who are too stubborn on either side will always fail to realize that.
