I have a 3.2 ghz processor, 1 gig of RAM and a 128meg graphics card. I doubt it very much.

We've managed to clear the now infamous keyboard bug. It was simply a line of code that didn't need to be there, and yes I'll hold my hands up to that one, a genuine mistake.

As for the match engine scores being unrealistic, we fiddled around with the match engine a lot during the last week, in an attempt to make it more realistic. It worked in that most results did become more realistic, however, we simply didn't have enough time to test it properly, and yes I agree you can get some wacky scores if you set the batting aggression to various settings.

Now in the coming days/weeks we will get more of a chance to test/optimise the engine, and things will get better. As promised we will release updates and so those who have bought the game will enjoy an improved gameplay experience each time.

What we're going to do is get a new version out during the next few days, thanks to the feedback we've got from this version I'm pretty sure the title will run a lot better on people's systems.

From reading various posts I get the feeling that people think that we knew all about all of these bugs, and that we just deliberatley released the game to cash in or something. I can promise you nothing is further from the truth, yep we screwed up a bit with the keyboard error, and yes it would have been a great idea to run a beta test, say last week, to test the game on a wider variety of systems. However the game runs perfectly on our systems and so we didn't feel a need to concentrate on compatibility, instead we concentrated on improving certain gameplay elements.

So if you've bought the game and are having some issues, then please bear with us, once these are sorted and the match engine becomes a bit more stable we're sure you'll be pleased with your purchase.

Sounds great. As I said above, I actually enjoyed the game before the crashes.
The brilliance of patches :p

Do you think we could get the right teams in the next version as well?...

I guess you could try doing it yourself, I dunno if you can edit the database files though.

Hak i did. Thats why i said "after searchin i found out i needed the latest directx. I did that but now when i run i get an error msg".

I found out it could be sumthnig to do with.NET Framework. Could that effect it?

P.S is there a requirement for a Graphics Card?

Ah, my bad. No idea then. (apart from restarting your computer after installation)

Good to see some efforts being made already to right the wrongs.

But Oli, can you PLEASE tell me why on earth the trial is limited to one day? Seriously, I had an hour to test the game. Now it won't let me trial it any more. I can imagine some people installing the game late at night, and only getting one short session of playtime out of it. That's just ridiculous.

...

For those who have the same problem, at least we have an easy solution. Simply adjust your computers date back to the day that you installed the game. It will allow you to continue playing.

After playing for a while ive started to notice an outrageous amount of rain interuptions, particularly in OD games where, if there is a rain break they are quite lengthy (one i had was 340 minutes IRC) and no overs are deducted or the game even called off, I had a game end at 11:45PM after a rain break that started at 4 and ended at 10something.
In FC matches and tests there seems to be rain every day and it has several times stopped me from winning (and losing).

I understand if the D/L method cannot be coded in but at least NR can and maybe however the local conditions are coded could be tweaked to reduce the rain, this may only be an NZ problem though.

I haven't had any crashes yet, but the worst bugs so far-

* The mouse - I have to click every button at least 4 times to get it to work. A second coursor appears on the left side of the window, parellel to where I clicked.

* Silly scores - I'm sure you'll fix this through practice

* Releasing players always gives me a 'too few players' message, when actually the board blocked it because they can't afford the payoff. Which doesn't make sense anyway, because surely I'm saving half his wages over the next year?

* As England manager - the squad re-selecting itself when I clear, then click on a player.

* Selection - during selection, if you click on a player you can't go back to the selection screen and get stuck with whatever team it picked for you.

* It also ignores the starting line-up I pick in tactics.

* Player search - filters randomly reset when you click on a player. Also, can't filter for players currently with no club or Kolpak players.

Most of the errors are from clicking onto a player screen while doing something else.

I'm running XP on a 2.8ghz p4, 1gb ram, 128mb radeon graphics card.

I'm also surprised not to see any training or staff or anything to do with a 2nd team or youth academy? Saving it for the sequel or will they be brought in with a patch?

Have other people also been experiencing a lot of rain? I can only remember having one rain interruption that lasted for 68 minutes. Other than that...not much.

Yes - I would have to agree that there should be some sort of method to reduce overs etc into One Day games. Obviously, Duckworth-Lewis would be preferable!

Have you got a lot running in the background? Things like MSN running sometimes result in a second cursor appearing.

* Silly scores - I'm sure you'll fix this through practice
Noted and will be fixed.

Not seen that one before, will mention it to Glenn and Oli.

Been mentioned - I'm sure it will be fixed in the future.

Never seen this myself.

Yes...the filter resetting has been mentioned to Oli. I believe you can see all available players - that includes those with or without a club.

I'm also surprised not to see any training or staff or anything to do with a 2nd team or youth academy? Saving it for the sequel or will they be brought in with a patch?
I can't answer this. I'm sure that Oli and Glenn had their reasons, however.

Many thanks for your constructive feedback though - I'm sure Oli and Glenn will appreciate it greatly.

*sigh*

Well, after figuring out the work-around to give the trial another chance, I started an international game in charge of New Zealand.

First game was a 3 day warmup game.

See the attached file for what happened. Yes, that's right. My two openers batted the entire match without really looking like being dismissed (bar a couple of lbw shouts).
