Masood has been phenomenal but his double tons have been against the two worst attacks in county cricket. Sussex are poor anyway and were missing seven first-team bowlers.
Regardless, he has batted brilliantly. Obviously time will tell if he can continue this against better attacks but one can only judge on what is out in front of a player.Masood has been phenomenal but his double tons have been against the two worst attacks in county cricket. Thats fair enough, its just the 2 names that came to mind, based on consistent performances.I'm not dissing Masood at all, it's been an unbelievable start to his season, but if we're talking "most valuable" contributions then other batters have made scores which are more significant in terms of the game situation and quality of the opposition. For instance Michael Burgess's 150 was a match-winning knock against one of the best attacks in the country, in a Div 1 game, between two of the title favourites.
teams don't even have 7 bowlersSussex are poor anyway and were missing seven first-team bowlers.
Most of them do in the CC cos if you fielded the same four pace bowlers in all the matches they'd be fried after a month.teams don't even have 7 bowlers
I think they have already done that against Somerset: Patel, Curran, Jacks, Clark, Overton, Taylor and Topley.de Grandhomme replacing Roach for Surrey. Could Surrey play 7 bowlers?

Compton, hassan Ali, shaheenWho are your MVPs of the season so far? Ali and Masood stand out for me.
You ever seen him? Very talented player and last year or 2 he's developed massively. Granted he may not be the international superstar you want when you sign an overseas player, but he's still a cut above most players on the County circuitNathan McAndrew, overseas player for Warwickshire, , seriously, he's taken 34 FC wkts at 32. Just the sort of player you need.
Yep, he is a reliable hand and can only get better. County cricket for him will likely be his ceiling so he'll work hard at it too!You ever seen him?
