Congratulations Chris Cairns

Mingster

State Regular
Either way he will retire as a legend.

The thing is that, Cairns just seems to be getting better and better and NZ still need him in Tests. His bowling is the fastest in the current crop, and he is probably the form batsman in the NZ team right now. A key knock is needed from his tomorow.

anzac

International Debutant
having recently started a family, made his comeback to full Test series this summer to show that he can still do it, and having finally nailed the 3000 / 200, I'd not be surprised if Cairns called it a day..............esp considering how he praised Oram as an allrounder after the 2nd Test.........

it may just be that he feels he has nothing left to prove / milestones to achieve in Test cricket to justify the committment away from family.........

:)
