Combining ODI and Test records, who are the 5 greatest cricketers ever?

HouHsiaoHsien

International Debutant
With a 70-30 weightage to tests and ODIs:

Tendulkar
Richards
Mcgrath
Murali
Hadlee/Wasim(Wasim was ATG in tests and ODIs, should make it above Imran marginally. Hadlee is a top 6/7 ODI bowler too).

Giving equal weightage to test and ODI:

1. Muralitharan
2. Tendulkar
3. Viv Richards
4. McGrath
5. Imran

With Wasim Akram pushing Imran for #5.

Wow subcontinent rules.
I'd put Gilchrist 5th. He is the 3rd guaranteed pick in an ATG test XI behind Bradman and Sobers and has scored the most ever runs in World Cup finals (the most important ODIs) with 260 runs from 3 innings at a s/r of 138.29.

Yeah I was going to make a post about that. Based on how much you weigh the specialist keeper role, Gilchrist has a bloody good case.

Imran’s record is not that great in ODI cricket.

A bowling average of 26 and a strike rate of 72 is not really that impressive.
He is an underrated ODI cricketer. Better to look at him as a 23 average bowler and 27/28 average bat who can either smack or accumulate.

His batting was more to build innings in a slower era.

Wouldn't have FDV there, personally would go someone like Shami ahead of him
