I think we should leave the Don out, most of his career was before WW2 and I am not sure if we are going to pick a team before the war?

I don't Chappell is a shoe in, with the three Ws, Hutton, Compton, May Sobers, G. Pollock, Hanif, Barrington, Walters and a few others, but yes, will be hard to hold out:)

Yeah, agreed. The Don is such a boring selection anyway.

I thought at one time that we would not be able to include Hutton, but I am glad that I was wrong.

To my mind the best post war opener. A worthy foe for Marshall, Hadlee, and Imran.
