Everyone please choose the captain for your team. Unless any bidders plan on choosing the captain from players in 10th round, you can put in your captain choice here now itself.

We have 9 below players left for 9 remaining slots. For the 10th round, since it will be the final round, I will propose to have the rules as below as you and L&L have proposed.

1. Please provide one main bid and one alternative bid only for the number of slots that are available to you and within the bid amount you have. You will get the alternative bid player if first choice is claimed by a higher bidder (LL's idea)
2. If the bids are still equal, whoever has the least highest paid player in the squad will get the bid player.(SS's idea)

Those who have bid, please note that there is an alternative second bid option too for the same amount in this round. Please provide alternative player as well for the same amount whom you will get if you dont win the first one.

Thanks for the captain choices, guys. JOJO alone left to choose his captain. I am tabulating the 10th round results currently and we are almost at the end of the auction. I will provide the final squads here once done.

I second KV frustrations. I've changed my bids twice already because different players may or may not become available. I think we should stick with CA's last list of available players. I won't be party to another change.
Sorry to disappoint you, @Kenneth Viljoen and @Line and Length . While the multiple changes across teams did not help, I do not want to put that as an excuse. I am hoping I can take the learnings here to conduct the auction better in the next tournament.

@CricAddict You've done a fine job under difficult circumstances. The team changes were beyond you control but there needs to be rules set in place that deals with such circumstances. One possibility might be automatic replacement of selected players who become unavailable with the nominated replacements.
With regard to the auction process, which is currently the same for everyone, why not make it an auction run on real-life lines. Every player should have a reserve to avoid the $1 bids. Perhaps $20 might be appropriate as a starting point for bidding. Bids lodged should be in increments of $5 and the maximum bid a multiple of $5. When one lodges bids in real life, one sometimes can win at a lower price than the maximum bid placed (I'm referring to postal bids or ebay type bids). This could apply here. e.g. if a participant's maximum bid is $135 but the next highest bid lodged was $115 then they should win the bid at $120 rather than the maximum stated.
Just some thoughts, but well done and thanks.
