True. If Gillespie had been given out when he gloved a ball down the legside to the 'keeper, NZ would have probably won the match. Instead, he survived, and in the company of Gilchrist guided Australia to safety.

As i said..stats don't always tell the truth of a match.

NZ had a chance to win it twice...firstly when Steve Waugh was given not out on 10 and then secondly when Jason Gillespie was given not out first ball to a caught behind off the gloves.

Marc, you really needed to watch the match to see just how well NZ played in that game.
Oh we would...but unfortunatly we are either lucky and have sky...or are unlucky and have to cope with Ch4's anytime highlights and a weekly program on at insane times in the morning called ICC Cricket World which shows us about 2 minutes worth of action per series, and about 15 minutes of useless boring interviews and news which we've heard before...the previous week. You know Astle's innings? I saw 6 balls of it...5 6's and the one he was out to. Wow that was worth staying up for

we even get the ICC Cricket World now..although it was kinda boring. An interview with Heath Streak & the S.A/S.L series.

Not so bad about the Heath Streak part as I respect him a lot. But can you tell me who presents it? Is it our man and woman team? (Sybil Roscoe is from Shropshire I just found out...oh whooopeee)

I think it's a worldwide programme produced for the ICC, so I guess it's the same team...

He was probably going to rest himself for the game anyway, but it's another little pain to deal with, he'll be fit for the one dayers!
