Can Cummins make it to the top 10 pacers ever?

Don't think he has accomplished enough to be ahead of Donald or even Trueman.
Way ahead of Trueman for me but I do rate Trueman lower than most.

My takes on Australian pitches in the 2010s lead me to rate Smith lower than practically everyone but also Cummins quite a bit higher.

I'm also not a Lillee fan which opens up a spot most people have locked in.

Main competition for Cummins to enter top ten is Bumrah. It can be only one of them in the top ten for me.
Um both can make it easily.

Marshall, McGrath, Hadlee, Steyn, Imran, Ambrose, Akram Lillee all stay.

Bumrah and Cummins fit it to make 10.

Donald, Lindwall, Garner, Trueman are eased out of consideration.

Donald is a high ****ing bar. We talk about him here like he is some mythical low sample size 19th century bowler.
Donald is a high bar but based on his trajectory, Cummins just needs quality series in England and India or SL to make a case to be better than him.

Cummins had ordinary year or so. Needs a bit of revival. I wouldn't easily put him past Donald. Maybe it's my nostalgia. Compare Donald's strike rate with Akram, Ambrose and McGrath. He was a very potent and incisive bowler.

Donald underperformed against Australia which sort of holds him back for me. Cummins fixing his Eng record and showing some form in the SC would be enough to give him a nod.
