Butt/Amir/Asif - Spot Fixing Trial

This post on Pakpassion caught my eye.

"I was at the court on the last day. I was one of the last to get in before they stopped people being allowed in.

Amir was in full view of me when he walked into the building and also into the court.

Before the trial I had sympathy for him, after seeing him at the court I have no sympathy at all.

The company these cricketers keep is what leads them into trouble. The ones who keep bad company end up in trouble. Those who keep good company stay out of trouble.

Amir entered the building with a couple of guys who looked like thugs and looked very dodgy.

Then in court Amir sat there stretching and yawning as if he was in a school classroom bored of the lesson.

Will be interesting to see what happens in future with him, but I fully expect him to get into more trouble if he continues to keep the company he does.

It is interesting to visit forums like Pakpassion and the ICF (Indian cricket fans forum) just to get the flavour of these places. A in other places there are some decent/reasonable posters but the overall tone is one-sided as can be expected.

I don't know how accurate that account is, but regarding Amir's apparent lack of attention, tbf to him he didnt understand most of what was being said. I would imagine that could cause a person to get bored.

SJS, There were quite a few posters on Indian cricket Fans who thought that the jail sentences were a bit harsh on the trio. This surprised me quite a bit because most of the time there is quite a lot of ugly stuff on that forum and also on PakPassion.

I always like the interviews that PakPassion do with the cricketers. The problem I have with that site is that you have people with extreme views. On the one hand there will be posters who think Pakistan is always losing, and on the other you have posters who think Pakistan is always winning, it's the same with other discussions, where you are only presented with extreme views and no middle ground.

I am die-hard fan of cricket.Fixing is very ridiculous thing in cricket.I am happy to see that ICC has taken streak action against both cricketers still there are some cricketers who are doing fixing.ICC should take some action against them also.

Hats of to the British legal system for bringing these guys to justice! I personally think they could have thrown the book even harder at them but hopefully this will stop people from going down the avenue of fixing and deter them if they are tempted!

I think it is right that we do not let the Pakistani's play in the IPL and any nation needs to be extra cautious when playing against them.
