Hilarious thread. Comparing Asif with Hitler is just :)

For starters, Asif never had an awesome moustache like Hitler.

Does nobody use the ignore button anymore ? That is, of course, if you cant ignore people without resorting to that ultimate step. Of all the buttons on any forum, this is the one that leads to most peace and tranquility, reduces frustration as well as stress and overall makes being on a forum a much more pleasurabe experience . . . try it guys it really works

one thing i could not figure out is why they 'agreed' to be tried in the uk? because they were extradited? or because they thought that the chances of being cleared - and thus an increased probability of overturning the icc 'sentences' - were higher in such a trial in a country with a reasonably functioning judicial system?

as somebody mentioned earlier they probably thought they might be able to get away with it (which happens a lot in the Pakistani judicial system). Also they may have been convinced by their lawyers that they had a decent chance of getting the decision in their favor and hence could appeal against the ICC ban.

Your negative effect on the world doesn't equate exactly to your evilness/crapness as a human being. A generally strong drive or character merely increases the potential of the magnitude of your influence, whether that person turns out to be good or bad. Whether you like it or not most of the good and bad people in history share a lot of traits.
Yep, exactly where I thought you were coming from with the post.

So what you guys are essentially saying (If I understand correctly) that even in a cricketing context (let alone in some other areas) somebody with the qualities of a Tendulkar or say Bradman might have done more damage had they indulged in it???

So that might even translate into the fact that Imran can do more damage if he comes to politics than Asif?

No, Hitler's extreme hatred of Jews stemmed from well before he could be corrupted or deluded by any sort of power.
Yeah, so he was deluded from before and power corrupted him more? Also that further establishes the point that he thought he was a "necessary evil".

But Hitler didn't pump himself full of nalondrone. 1-1.

It's the most hilarious thing ever to go from 1. He cheats at a game --> 2. He has no redeeming/positive human qualities.

He was addicted to amphetamines though, so it's probably just as well he wasn't a sportsman.

Yes, you are right. Asif took money to bowl no balls and injected himself with steroids to bowl better, ergo he has no redeeming human qualities.

Sorry but that was the most bizarre thing I've ever read on the internet, and that's saying quite a bit.
+1

PEWS, for shame!
