Sorry to say, these sort of 'Tendulkar was a teen' excuses are so laughably childish. He had been playing professional Test cricket for 3 years then, had scored Test centuries in England and Australia, and was clearly a hardened pro at the time. When you readily count all his accomplishments as a teen, you can't dismiss his failures with that excuse.
Don't really agree with this part tbh, particularly the bolded. Playing as a teen is so difficult and rare that it's essentially a bonus in my eyes if you manage to have any degree of success and holding any failures against a player at that age in comparison with a player who didnt have to do it makes perfect sense to me.

Obviously agree that there's not much between Sachin and Lara's records vs Donald tbh, both kinda middling. Probably prefer the tons Tendulkar got to the few fifties Lara managed though. Not just because they were tons but because the innings were of higher quality than Lara's (he got a 97 in a very low scoring game at Mumbai in the 2000 series that was superb too). Subjective though.

Okay, I'm gonna ignore the 1993 series on the account of Sachin being a teenager and I'll ignore the 1998 West Indies series on the account of Lara being uninterested and not wanting to play at the first place.

Scoring tons mean nothing unless he's winning games, he isn't, going by average it's the exact same, you can apply whatever context you wish to, at the end of the day, 20 innings 5 dismissals at 32 average vs 20 innings 6 dismissals 34 average.
Jeez how did you manage to make the dumbest post in a thread where @subshakerz and @kyear2 are having one of their faceoffs.

Rahane is 9/12 i.e. 75%. Better than all these frauds who make stat-boosting useless non match winning tons. @Teja. vindicated.
