I find it tough to say Sachin isn’t a genius.

He was a prodigy from the school days. He has always been technically perfect.

There is a video from 1995 where Sunil Gavaskar saying he would be disappointed if Sachin didn’t end up with at least 15000 runs and 40 centuries.

I'm not using this as some sort of measuring stick. It's more just a categorisation of interest.

Even on their best days, they were different.
Lara was magical and it was mesmerising to watch.
Sachin was just perfection exemplified like no one else

It was a bit of a bittersweet ton as he was playing it seemed off the high he had in the last test but frankly overdid it and once he was gone, WI crumbled. If he took it down a notch he could have had another daddy ton in the form he was in.

I was once told getting 82 out of 100 in an Indian exam takes as much effort as getting 95+ in a western one, how true is that?

TBF the Matric Math papers can be pretty tough and advanced for 14 year olds. So I think I did decently.

As luck would have it, my high school leaving board exams coincided with that 2001 BG Series. Naturally spent very little time studying then too.
