One swallow doesn'tmake a summer. Besides he didn't won that game for Pak, he wasn't even the man of the match, its just that out of blues he came up with respectable performance.

Right now to qualify for that one has to be a member of Pak pace attack..... (just kidding)

And don't underestimate LAXMAN, he's a class test batsman, and in test matches (of which this threadis about) he will give Pak team a nightmare!

Discounting Laxman now is ridiculous. He in my opinion, more so than Dravid (although Dravid is still God :D) was the most important Indian player during the test series with Australia.

Who was it that supported Ganguly in the 1st test? Laxman
Who was it that supported Dravid in the 2nd test? Laxman
Who was it that supported Tendulkar in the 4th test? Laxman.

Not to mention the absolutely awesome VB Series he had with three centuries. I wouldn't call him a flop yet, it could be a big mistake.

sehwag is indias version of afridi.......although afridi has more charisma.....both are too pne dimensional.
No way...both may have one-dimensional games, but Sehwag is much better than Shahid Afridi. Sehwag may be inconsistent, but he is a model of consistency compared to Afridi's level of inconsistency. Afridi fires once in 10-15 games on an average maybe, Sehwag is much more consistent...

I agree with anil. Afridi and Sehwag both bat positively and are extremely aggressive. But Sehwag is aggressive in a much more intelligent way unlike Afridi. He has more range of strokes and can be a nightmare for bowlers. With Afridi, you know he's going to get out sooner than later.

The biggest flop must be none other than Shoaib Akhter!!

It was said before the series that Indian batsmen will face tough time facing Akhter, but so far Akhter has proved nothing but dissapointment.

I think Akhter will do NOTHING in this series .IT must be humiliating for Akhter's fan to see their hero getting hammed for fours and sixes even at the hands of tailenders like Balaji!

5 ODI and 1 test match has gone by and Akhter has done nothing.

The guy is a loser, doesn't have guts to challenge quality batsmen.
If memory serves correctly, this thread is in reference to the Test series.

Rubbish. Shoaib Akhtar is one of the most dangerous bowlers
in teh world today. He may not have had the best of matches in the Multan test but that happens to every player.

He would definitely be one of the first bowlers I'd consider in a possible world X1.

I personally think that it was Shabbir Ahmed that was the biggest flop. I mean, if you looked at his performance a month ago, it was much muh better. Shoaib in the 3rd or 4th match bowled well, in his first spell. Unlucky with all the inside edges. sami bowled the best in the Multan test match, I think.
