Best Players of Spin

I think Kohli "terrible" against spin is a pretty big stretch, ignoring when he scored runs regularly, he did so against everyone almost everywhere. His techniques has issues against spin, and he isn't one great player of spin, but he is far from terrible, let alone bad.
Yeah, but he's been more liable than not since and inspires little long-term confidence at the crease, and you can no longer ignore that while making a qualitative statement on his overall prowess. It's not just a bookend, it's a whole final quarter of his story that has transpired at a time and age when he ideally should've been at the peak of his powers. He never looks out of sorts against spin or seam for that matter but there are obviously more than just mental blocks causing him to be vulnerable against both modes of attack.

I have lold hard at people who put Sidhu at end of the list. He is the man who took Warne and Murali to cleaners, before any one could think about it.
Sidhu more than other players of spin went out of his crease to hit them over their head. Really crushed their confidence.

Whatever is the opinion on Lara vs Sehwag, Lara is surely better than Sidhu vs spin, if not for anything but his 2001 domination of peak Murali.
To put it bluntly, if Sidhu really was as good as Sehwag or Lara vs spin; he would had ended up with a career like Sehwag, as it wasn't like he was piss poor to pace.

Lara never managed to do this. Only Sidhu and Shewag managed this feat.
Such a bad take. Lara had Ali-level footwork against spin. He would actually side-step and skip out as opposed to just down the wicket to spin, simultaneously manufacturing room and altering the length of the delivery. Also why does Sidhu get to stay Sidhu when Kohli becomes Kholi, Sehwag becomes Shewag, and Gandhi becomes Ghandi?

Sidhu never faced Murali in his prime though. He hammered a pre-doosra Murali and that too at home. Which is why I prefer Sehwag.

Meh. Even if not as good as Sehwag, he really should atleast had been an undisputed home ATG.
An avg of 54 in India suggests he probably was as good as most of our heroes. Just didn't play the sheer quantity of games. I'd give an arm (but not quite a leg) to have a Sidhu in the side even in this drastically different era.
