V good.

Add Shane Thomson (admittedly, he was bowling pies either way) and Karson Ghavri to the subs list.

Taibu also once took a five-for (in an ODI even, I think?)....

Tatenda Taibu, of all people, has a First Class 8 wicket haul. 8/43.

With an Australian All Time XI, the final batting spot usually comes down to Neil Harvey, Ricky Ponting or Allan Border (after the two openers, Bradman and Chappell).

I used to alternate between Border (dogged, tough, resilient) and Ponting (counter attack, dynamic). However, after reading a bit on Harvey, he is my choice. He was a combination of the two, and some of the work he did when conditions were REALLY tough (conditions modern batsmen never face) was amazing.

And apparently, his advice to any incoming batsman was "These guys aren't that good, let's get stuck in to them".

Agree that Harvey was an all time great, but lets not under estimate the the influence and that constant barrier to defeat that was Border or the amazing acomplishments that Ponting has achieved. It is close but it has to be Ponting (captaincy, longevity) just behind Border, but that too would be interchangeable. Border had the lesser team and faced better bowling. A.B it is.

Harvey faced minefields and a stack of brilliant bowlers. I am not saying that Border or Ponting didn't, but for me it's got to be him.

That's only 10 in the squad kyear. Also, Procter should be batting above Pollock for sure. 48 FC centuries, he was a very good bat.

To me the top four teams would be Australia, the West Indies, South Africa and England, would be a fun competition.

Pakistan would be the 5th best team behind England.

Inzamam Ul Haq
Mohammad Yousuf
Imran Khan

The top two teams would be the West Indies and Australia with nothing much to choose between them. South Africa comes next then England. Pakistan's batting just isn't up to the level of the other teams but their bowling attack is as good as any.

The other teams are just a level below with India being closet due to their batting but lack the bolwing attack to bowl out any of the top five teams.
