An active English moderator a must as well, clearly
Need at least 2, a lot of the time due to time zones it felt like I was holding the fort on my own.

Perfect example was the first ODI against Australia, I was out when the **** hit the fan in that thread and the thread turned to crap.

I'm pretty much on NH time insofar as when I'm on CricketWeb now.

IMO that doesn't change the need for more UK/SA based mods though. The moderation of the site during our day time shouldn't be relying on your sleeping pattern being a mess.

If I were a mod and had banning powers, then I would ban the lot of you ****s, and then I would ban myself.

I know Craig made this post in jest but I can see some merit in requiring all established members to have a go at moderating just to see what the job is really like - might make some folk think more

So I propose anyone getting to 1,000 posts has to be a "trainee" mod for two weeks

No conscientious objectors and a 28 day ban for all who refuse

No exceptions, apart from staff members, obviously

Would the mod/s be chosen best suited to certain time zones, or would it be just selected on the best available candidate?
