I think you're in trouble Jake...150 runs to get with 3 wickets left.
Which is poor after bowling them out for 214, being 3/110 with a batsman not out of 40 odd, then getting rolled for 140. After getting them for 180, I thought there was some hope, but it appears not.

Oh well, top team in a pointless match, I kind of wish I didn't play my strongest XI.

Yeah I wish I didn't play any decent players now...this is dragging on past the point of being ridiculous.

Eastern Sharks: 746-3

Can this game decide your ladder positioning?
No, He'll still be first, I'll be second and the next guy wil be third. Has no bearing at all.

Don't want to bowl all day as I would like to win tomorrow's game, which also has no bearing on the final result but a loss will make it hard to get promoted. Should have rearranged my priorities for the bowling, but I didn't think he'd be silly enough to bat forever.

Eastern Sharks: 911-5

Might get a draw out of this, 38 overs left in the day

Tried to throw my match today, get demoted. After being rolled for 181 in the first dig, we're now 593/5 second time around.

Bowled them out for 931...was 133/3 in reply at stumps. Match Drawn. Wish the clown had set his second innings orders so I didn't have 3 players going into tomorrow's match fatigued.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Was talking about this with danneh smits earlier...

Played my full strength side in FC for only the second time this season, rolled them for 1 and then 7 (6 of those 7 were extras).

After the match I had a look around the seasons FC stats and the like, and saw one of the other teams blogs from a few weeks back.

A very important first class match is coming up for the Heroes on Tuesday against the Tawonga Tigers. We have versed the tawonga Tigers three times for three draws. It would be good to get a win this time and with the improvement in our bowling attack in recent weeks we feel we are a strong chance. The game is being played at Drummoyne Oval.
Of course, I wasn't aware of that entry, and may have played the same side that we fielded earlier in the season if I had read that, but I didn't and so went ahead and played my full strength side for the first time in the season.

Well, we wanted a result and got one. To bad it was a loss, would have prefered a draw. The Tigers ended up fielding a far superior team to what they have been using in the past and we got beaten embarrisingly.
Brutal.

Facing the prospect of my 3rd relegation from OD Div II in the last 6 seasons. Do or die tomorrow - 6th vs. 7th. I've decided not to throw it, but if I am beaten, I won't be too bothered about it. I'm in a jam. Too good for III, not good enough for II. Hopefully this will start to sort itself out over the next 2-3 seasons.

Coco's Nuts
End of Over 25: 161-3, runrate=6.44

Moving along at a nice clip. Nkosinathi has again disappointed getting out for 28, he's had a strange season by his standards. But if Strydom and Hutchinson stay together for another 10-15 overs we should be looking at a decent score. 3 bowlers are a bit fatigued though, so I would like 300+.

Baker 5-0-36-0

Hamlin 19 (16 balls)

Way impressed by the boys! Will be stoked for anything over 250 which looks very gettable at present. Our bowling attack is poor, but let's just focus on this...

Eventually bowled out for 308 with 2 overs left. Hutchinson took 9 off the first 3 balls to move to 96 before the last three batsmen fell in the final 4 balls of the over (1nb) to leave him stranded. Strydom scored 105. Hawley took 5/55.

That should be more than enough. The most he's ever scored against me is 250.

Oh, and has Battrick added a + to stamina so you can now train them higher than just superb?

Won by 9 runs

Only took 3 wickets and he hammered 42 off the last 3 overs to get close haha Had a feeling when I went to teach with 5 overs left and a seemingly impossible total for him to get that Battrick would make it close.

Quite exciting conclusion to the season in India I.1 if anyone is interested. Still looks like it could go either way and there's only 50 overs of the season left!

Very strong finish to my first season.

2nd in both First Class and One Day competitions. 8th in 20/20.

Achieved automatic promotion from Div VI in OD. Very weak league I was involved in, only 4 human managers (1 of the managers never made a trade, and didn't appear to change his squad). Nervous about how next season will develop. Obviously my side with only 1 season worth of training and trades is not ready for the step-up.

Next season aims are to continue making a profit, and continue to develop a more rounded squad. Will be a relief to be bumped back down to Div VI for another season, but I will see how next year develops.

Enjoyed my first season as manager. Best aspect of this game is eagerly awaiting your young hand-picked trainee's to pop another level. Worst aspect is bot bashing, little sense of achievement.

Glad to hear it!

At least the bots will get fewer and fewer as you go up the ladder.
