Evening things up here, with a vote for The Rock.

I'll say what I will about his ability to actually wrestle, but he put the E in World Wrestling Electrification. The way he ran with a really bad face character, turned it into one of the most over heels ever, and finally turned to become The People's Champ is the thing that got me into marking out for wrestling.

He taught people to forget about the staged-ness, and actually brought life to the entertainment aspect to the business. I can give him no higher praise.

You will always be my champ, Dwayne.

Sorry boys, I haven't really looked into this thread since i haven't watched wrestling since 06. What criteria are we voting on? Influence on the business? Their actual ring ability?

I'm going to assume for now its the total package, and if thats the case than Undertaker pips it, even though I'm a far bigger fan of The Rock.

Really should have used an old school, purple glove photo of Undertaker

Rocky quite comfortably for me even though I love Taker. Unrivalled as an entertainer and a proper team player. Never seen a wrestler who could get ANY crowd eating out of his hands as easily as he could.

He put anyone they wanted over clean and managed to grow and grow as an icon even when given no booking protection. Heel or face anything he did turned to gold, hell he even got Rikishi over at one stage there.

The only thing working against the guy was leaving wrestling, but then again I don't blame him giving up the pain and the schedule and going after the big money in Hollywood.

Got eliminated by The Undertaker in a close battle, Round 2 I think. The random draw produces some absolute bastard contests.
Ah, bugger. At least he wasn't eliminated by some random scrub. I could also see Bret being inactive for so long causing people to forget the greatness too.

Have met and talked with Dwayne, he's one of the most friendly famous person I've talked to but I'll go with Taker only because he got rid of Bret.

The Rock eliminates 'Taker by 7 to 6. Closest battle yet, and one that it pains me to see 'Taker lose. Can't begrudge Rocky the victory, though. Oh, and Jono, yeah, we are voting on the all round package.

Round 4, Quarter-Finals, Battle 4:

Weighing in at two hundred and fifty pounds, from Victoria, Texas.....'The Texas Rattlesnake', 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin!

And his opponent, weighing in at two hundred and seventy two pounds, from Greenwich, Connecticut.....'The Game', 'The Cerebral Assassin', 'The King of Kings', Triple H!

As much as I think Triple H doesn't deserve much of the stick he gets, and that he's still going to go down as one of the greatest of all time, I've gotta go for Austin here. Austin-Rock was the greatest feud in wrestling history IMO, and will never be forgotten - witness the fans at this year's Hall of Fame ceremony chanting for one more match between the two of them. Austin's effect on the business was immeasurable.

Hunter, purely because Austin will get more votes.

Can't find anything else to seperate the two, to be honest.

Austin by miles. Probably the greatest of all time all things considered. From his breakthrough feud with Bret to the Vince and Rock battles. Outstanding night in night out.
