Battle of the Subcontinent

Well this is the final battle that most of us would've expected. My vote goes to the great Imran Khan. IMO, one of the top 10 bowlers of all time, the 2nd greatest allrounder, a decent bat, and one outstanding Captain. Due to all this, he takes it over the little master.

Imran was a great all-rounder, no question. He batted and bowled maidens over with equal proliferance. He pioneered reverse swing and encouraged a huge female following to cross over to cricket.

Yet Tendulkar can take ultimate credit as the man who got me into cricket. As a batsman, technician and icon, he was and is absolutely peerless. He's carried the hopes and dreams of a billion people since the age of 16 and every time he succeeds, a nation celebrates. An inspirational man whose dominance of the 2003 WC sowed the seeds of a young cricket tragic. Hence,

Tendulkar

No offense, but this battle was such crap compared to the Battle of the Hottest Women. Not your fault SS. Pretty obvious we'd end up with Imran > Murali/Sachin in the final.

I thought the result was fair. I really love Sachin but you can't argue against Imran either. I thought it was close and could have gone either way. I wouldn't have been unhappy regardless of which one won it, really.

For what its worth I thought it was a good battle, with some potential doosies of matchups. But a lot of good matchups were closed too early. Still a good battle, nevertheless.

We definitely had the right winner. I was just saying that the battle felt inadequate for some reason. Whatever.

I believe you and SS should go to sleep now.

Too late now. I'd rather finish webcasting (which started 8 hours ago but never quite "happened") and then watch the Niners game before I take a massive nap.

Then I'm guessing you will not be awake for the Ashes?
