Fazal Mahmood, Inzy didn't deserve to be routed in that way.
Wasim didn't deserve to be routed that way either, but Imran > Wasim without doubt. In the same way, Gavaskar > Inzy without doubt.

Yes, but Beleg has shown us how under rated Inzamam really is and SJS will tell you just how over rated Sunny was.

I don't really see how Sunny was 'overrated'. It is bloody hard to find openers who average 50's, especially in the 70's and 80's with the opening bowlers people had. His record against WI is good but not as phenomenal as his stats suggest, but he would still make my all time XI (though he'd have some competition) but I don't think Inzy would be close to an all time XI.

Nor an all-time second XI and perhaps not an all-time third XI either.

Lara, Headley, Sobers, Weekes, Richards, Hobbs, Hutton, Sutcliffe, Hammond, Pollock, Richards, Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Dravid, Bradman, Chappell, Ponting, Waugh.
That's 18 batsmen who are definitely better than him. I haven't even mentioned Miandad and Hanif.

There have been lots of good batsman, for example if the middle order of your first XI is (3-5):

Bradman
Tendulkar
Viv Richards

The second XI might be:

Chappell
Lara
Headley

The third XI might be:

Ponting
Hammond
Border/Waugh/Dravid

He might make the 4th or 5th, if that.

SS, can you please stop posting every other minute? I'm trying to get started on my 10-page research paper but I keep getting tempted to reply to your posts. :@

Damn it, I couldn't resist the temptaion. Here's my first XI and the top 6 in my second and third XIs.

1st XI S Gavaskar, J Hobbs, D Bradman, S Tendulkar, G Sobers, A Gilchrist, I Khan, R Hadlee, M Marshall, S Warne, M Muralitharan

2nd XI H Sutcliffe, L Hutton, V Richards, W Hammond, G Chappell, B Lara

3rd XI V Merchant, B Richards, G Pollock, G Headley, S Waugh/E Weekes, K Miller

I'm already having second thoughts about my 2nd and 3rd XI.

My XI with McGrath would rip through your top order. :) Even Bradman would be flummoxed ;).
