You're an ass for doing this :p
I second this sentiment! <only in jest SS>.

Man this is tough. Zaheer is one of the classiest batsman the subcontinent produced. But I'll have to go with Waqar. At his peak, few can rival his dominance.

I'll go with Waqar too. At his peak he was the best I've seen. A player whose end-of-career figures do not do justice to, very good as they are.

14-3 to Waqar

The next installment of murderer's row (and there is more after this!):

Round 2, Battle 12

Anil Kumble
110 Tests, 533 wickets @ 28.75, SR 65.45, 33 five-wicket hauls, 8 ten-wicket hauls

vs.

Kapil Dev
Batting: 131 tests @ 31.05, 8 centuries, 27 fifties, HS: 163
Bowling: 131 tests, 434 wickets @ 29.64, 23 five-wicket hauls, 2 ten-wicket hauls

Kapil Dev.

Anil's been an inspiration to me though. Great bowler, loved watching him throughout his career. But I imagine had I got to watch Kapil more, he would have been even more inspirational. Terrific cricketer.
